ABOUT US

THE GUILD

SSG is a certified non-profit corporation in the state of Texas and is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.

Like a roving gypsy troupe of Elizabethan actors, The Stolen Shakespeare Guild is a producing theatre company without a home. The Guild's productions are on the move performing in various venues.

MISSION STATEMENT ... Our wish is to bring Shakespeare to the general public in a way that is both fresh and entertaining. We shall perform the works of Shakespeare, works from which he drew his inspiration, and works that, in turn, have been influenced by the immortal Bard himself. Also, we seek to debunk the myth that Shakespeare and other forms of theatre are inaccessible to the modern audience. The Stolen Shakespeare Guild is committed to bringing the works of William Shakespeare and other playwrights alive in the twenty-first century.

Residing in Fort Worth, Will Grimes is currently the Director of Sales and Marketing for one of the top five homebuilders in the United States. He has been recognized numerous times by employers throughout his career for his leadership, service and “bottom-line” results. Prior to entering the professional arena of sales and sales management, Will was involved in theatre from an early age, directing his first “play” in the fifth grade. He continued his interest both behind the scenes and on stage throughout High School and then attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University. After graduating in 1993 with a Double Major in Communications and Theatre Arts, Will moved to Dallas where he found an agent and began working with local television and film productions, as well as assisting regional casting directors. He also co-founded “3’s Company – An Actor’s Showcase” which was a venue focused on highlighting new talent to local agents and casting directors. Will’s love of the arts and experience acquired from that medium are an important element to the success of his business career and a continuing lifelong passion. Transitioning from full time actor to businessman, whether in audio/visual related fields or sales and marketing management, he has continued to find opportunities to be involved with performance.
